Democracy in Action: Joining the AKA Discussion on the 2026 Midterms

We’re excited to accept the invitation from the Alpha Alpha Sigma Omega Graduate Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. to join them for "What’s the Even Bigger Deal?: Part II - The Importance of the 2026 Mid-Term Elections".

This is exactly the kind of community space we mean when we note that leadership should show up and listen. We’ll be at Prince George’s Community College on June 1st to hear from PGCC professors, students and the community about the and political science behind this election cycle. Afterward, I’ll be at our District 9 table to meet with you directly to discuss how we can build a county government that works for neighbors, not just insiders.

Whether we are talking about protecting our land from unwanted development or ensuring our schools have the resources they need, these decisions start at the local level. Because our campaign is publicly financed through the Fair Election Fund, my only priority in these conversations is you. I hope you’ll come out, learn something new from the faculty panel, and share your vision for District 9 with me.
