Community, Organizing, and Elections with CauseReaction
A while back I sat down with my friend Chanda Causer of CauseReaction for a conversation I’ve been looking forward to sharing. As always, thank you, Chanda, for the thoughtful questions, the warmth, and the space to talk honestly about our shared work of organizing the community. I imagine that conversations like this are part of what keeps our communities informed and connected, and I’m grateful for them every time.
We covered a lot of ground in this brief interview, including my recent run for Prince George’s County Council in District 9 and all I learned, what I heard from neighbors, and why I ran. We also touched on my long years organizing with DSA and why the organization remains my political home. We chatted about the November 2026 elections and what’s at stake for Prince George’s County, Maryland and the nation.
Most of all, we talked about what ties all of this together, a deep desire to stay connected to and fight for our community.

Thank you again, Chanda, and thank you to everyone who tuned in.
