This Friday, July 18th from 7 to 10, I’ll be attending a Returning Citizens Appreciation Dinner, hosted by Qiana Johnson and Life After Release, in partnership with the Broad Umbrella Coalition.

This event honors the resilience, dignity, and power of those who’ve survived our carceral system, a struggle that’s long been close to my heart. I’m grateful to stand in community with so many who continue to fight for justice, and proud to see local leaders showing up for this work.
