Our politics can (and should) be better than what we’ve come to expect. The Fair Election Fund is a powerful tool to make that possible. It ensures that campaigns are powered by people, not just the wealthy and well-connected, and that candidates can spend their time engaging neighbors instead of chasing big checks.

I’m proud to be the among the first candidates in Prince George’s County to run through this program. That means every contribution from county residents is matched, multiplying the voices of regular people and proving that grassroots campaigns can compete.

My aim is not to make a career out of politics, but to show that things can be better and to pave the way for others to ensure that becomes a lived reality. I’m committed not only to using the Fund in this race, but also to defending it, so that future candidates, regardless of wealth or connections, can step forward to serve their community without compromising their values.

Politics shouldn’t be an industry. It should be public service, rooted in accountability to the people. The Fair Election Fund helps make that vision real.
