⚡Data Centers & Our Community
A Future Built For People - Not Corporate Pressure
✅ Community-led decision making over backroom deals
✅ Protecting rural and agricultural land in District 9
✅ Strong environmental and infrastructure safeguards
✅ No harmful siting until public trust and oversight are rebuilt
✅ Economic development that benefits residents rather than short-term corporate profit margins
Data centers are expanding across the nation, here in Prince George’s County we have a choice to make. Will our development be shaped by the community, or imposed upon the community. Residents across the county have spoken clearly about the risks to our environment, infrastructure, and health, and in a functional democracy, when people speak this loudly, leaders must respond.
District 9 is rural, agricultural, and too often treated as the place where unwanted projects get pushed. I will not allow our farms, forests, or neighborhoods to once again serve as the county’s dumping ground for harmful development or rushed corporate deals.
The council’s concerns are rooted in real issues, we need revenue and people deserve good union jobs, but those important goals cannot come at the expense of community safety, transparency, or long-term well-being. Until our government proves it can regulate responsibly and rebuild public trust, hyper-scale data centers have no place in District 9.
We deserve development that protects our land, strengthens our communities, and puts people rather than private profits, first.
